So this has been the best year for cold weather crops. I’ve been picking lettuce, scallions, and kale for the past month. It’s wonderful the return you get back for a little effort up front. I do use my own soil mixture combined with a bit of commercial soil brand. The results reveal success, so I will continue to nuture my seedlings next year.
My peas had a slow start but they are spouting on their own time.
The temperature gauge in the hobbit greenhouse reads 53ish. The temp outside on this raining day in May 2019 reads 54. Mhhh not much difference between inside and outside temps. My hobbit greenhouse is showing its age. I just love it! I spend many hours a week cultivating my stock. It’s peaceful!
Where ever today brings you, my wish for you is to discover what you are passionate about and lean in to it and enjoy!
I am so excited to have found a spot in our home to view the Finches. I arranged a café style table with a few chairs in front of the big window. No matter what the temp is outside, we can view the Finches and even take pictures of them.
Our room design feels like you are outside; however, you are inside where it is nice and cozy. So no matter if it is raining (that’s all it did during the month of April), snowing or windy, we have a spot to appreciate the simple things in life.
I want to share these pics with you. Nature is so amazing and to enjoy all of it is a gift. So I invite you into our room, to have breakfast with the Finches. Hello to The Finches!!
