Hummingbird – Can you See Him?

Hi Everybody!  The other day while walking about my backyard, I saw something that flew in FAST…then it flew away just as FAST!  I was puzzled about what it could be.  So I went inside and sat by the window with my camera and look what it was— a beautiful hummingbird!

According to my source, “Peterson First Guides Birds” I think this is a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird.

Ruby Throated Hummingbird drinking from the bleeding hearts.  He is located just above the hosta and below the bleeding heart.

The trick is can you spot him in my photos?  I think this is similar to the Let’s Find Waldo Game.  He is quite hansom!  I am amazed at what we find in our backyards!

I cannot wait to see him again. Hopefully, I’ll be ready to take better pics.

Hello to The Finches

I am so excited to have found a spot in our home to view the Finches.  I arranged a café style table with a few chairs in front of the big window.  No matter what the temp is outside, we can view the Finches and even take pictures of them.

Our room design feels like you are outside; however, you are inside where it is nice and cozy.  So no matter if  it is raining (that’s all it did during the month of April), snowing or windy, we have a spot to appreciate the simple things in life.

I want to share these pics with  you.  Nature is so amazing and to enjoy all of it is  a gift.  So I invite you into our room, to have breakfast with the Finches.  Hello to The Finches!!
